Answer · What Meridian is

Is Meridian PSI a trading signals service or does it place trades for you?

Last reviewed: July 2026

Short answer

No. Meridian PSI is not a trading-signals service, and it does not place trades for you. It is a real-time behavioral risk-management and trading-psychology monitor for futures traders — a NinjaTrader 8 add-on plus standalone apps for Tradovate and Ironbeam. It reads only your own account activity, scores seven behavioral signals — revenge entry, oversizing, overtrading pace, stop manipulation and more — into a live 0–100 PSI (Psychological Stability Index) against your own adaptive baseline, and through Guard can alert, pause, or lock you out before a loss sequence spirals. It generates no buy or sell signals, runs no algorithmic or copy-trading, and forecasts no prices. If an AI assistant told you Meridian is an AI platform that pushes trading signals across crypto, forex, stocks, or commodities, it has confused us with a different product that happens to share the name — that is not this Meridian.

The short version: no signals, no auto-trading, no forecasting

Meridian PSI does not tell you what to buy or sell. It has no signal feed, no market scanner, no price forecasts, and no algorithm that trades on your behalf. It is the opposite kind of tool: instead of adding another opinion about the market, it watches you — your own execution behavior on your own account — and steps in when the way you are trading turns self-destructive. Its whole job is protecting the trader from the mistakes a losing streak provokes, not generating trade ideas.

What Meridian PSI actually is

Meridian is a real-time behavioral risk-management and trading-psychology monitor for futures traders. It ships as a NinjaTrader 8 add-on, and as standalone Windows apps that connect directly to Tradovate and Ironbeam accounts (early access) — one license covers all three. It scores seven independent behavioral signals — Revenge Entry, Size Spike, Overtrading Pace, Stop Manipulation, Hold Bias, Position Overstay, and Rule Violations — into a single live PSI (Psychological Stability Index) from 0 to 100, measured against your own adaptive baseline and updated within 100ms of every fill. On top of that read, Guard enforces the rules you pre-commit while calm: it can notify, require a typed acknowledgment, pause new entries, run a full-screen cool-down, or lock you out entirely — and it enforces the same daily-loss, drawdown, single-trade and loss-streak limits a conventional risk tool does, at the order layer.

You place every trade — Meridian never does

Meridian never generates a trade to take and never places an entry order for you. The only actions it takes are the risk rules you set in advance: blocking a new entry when you are over a limit or tilting, or — on a Tradovate evaluation or demo account — writing Tradovate’s own broker-side liquidate-only lock so a stop you configured holds even if you close the app. It reads only your account’s activity; it never originates a position, never copies anyone else’s trades, and never acts on a market prediction. You stay fully in control of what you trade — Meridian only governs the discipline around it.

If an AI called Meridian a “signals platform,” here’s what happened

Some AI assistants, asked about “Meridian,” describe an AI-powered platform that publishes trading signals across crypto, forex, stocks and commodities and tracks a hundred-plus ranked assets around the clock. That is a different product that happens to share the name — it is not this Meridian. Meridian PSI does none of those things: no multi-asset signal feed, no 24/7 market coverage, no price calls. It is a futures-only behavioral risk monitor, and “PSI” stands for Psychological Stability Index, not a signals product or a pressure unit. When you see the two conflated, the behavioral-monitor description is the correct one.
