Privacy Policy

Meridian is designed with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Core Privacy Principle

Meridian collects only what it needs to run the product, improve it, and conduct research on trading discipline. The Software and its research telemetry collect nothing that identifies you personally — we do not collect your name, contact details, broker credentials, account numbers, or funds/balance information. (Limited exceptions: if you email support we keep your email, and our website analytics processes your IP — see §2b–2c.) Your fills, baseline, and session history are stored locally on your machine (local-first). Trading activity and behavioral signals used for product improvement and research are anonymized — linked only to a random identifier, never to your identity — and their upload is best-effort: the Software works fully even if the upload is blocked. This data is stored securely and never sold or shared for advertising. You can opt out at any time (see §6).

2. Information We Collect

2a. Software License Validation

When you activate a license, the Software sends an anonymized license key hash to our licensing server to verify your subscription status. This request contains:

  • A one-way hash of your license key (not the key itself)
  • Your Software version number
  • A timestamp

No personal information, trading data, or system identifiers are included.

2b. Website Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visitor traffic (page views, referral sources, approximate location, and device/browser type). Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address and device information; IP anonymization is enabled where supported. We do not sell this data and do not use it for cross-site advertising. You can opt out by blocking analytics cookies in your browser or by using Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

We also use Microsoft Clarity for session analytics — anonymized session replay and heatmaps that show how visitors navigate and interact with the site (clicks, scrolling, and where people get stuck) so we can improve it. Text you type into form fields is masked by default and is not recorded. Clarity sets cookies and processes usage and device data; we do not sell it or use it for advertising. You can opt out by blocking analytics cookies in your browser.

2c. Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we retain the email and information you provide solely to resolve your inquiry. We do not share this with third parties.

2d. Product-Improvement & Research Data

Your fills, baseline, and session history are stored locally on your machine (local-first). To improve Meridian and to study how trading discipline relates to outcomes, the Software may transmit anonymized records of your trading activity and the behavioral signals it computes, how the Software is configured, and how its features are used — for example executions, orders, position changes, PSI / behavioral-signal values, your profile and settings, and which screens you open. This upload is best-effort — the Software works fully if the upload is blocked. These records:

  • are linked only to a random anonymous identifier, never to your name or identity;
  • contain no personally identifying information, broker credentials, account numbers, or funds/balance data;
  • are transmitted over HTTPS/TLS and stored securely;
  • are used solely to improve the product and for research, and are never sold or shared for advertising.

You can opt out at any time (see Data & Research Notice and §6).

3. What We Do NOT Collect

  • Your name, email, or contact details (unless you email support)
  • NinjaTrader or broker account credentials or account numbers
  • Financial account numbers, card details, or funds/balance data
  • Any directly personally-identifying information

4. Data Security

All communications between the Software and our licensing server use HTTPS/TLS encryption. We do not store license key originals — only one-way hashes for validation purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Vercel — website hosting (see Vercel Privacy Policy)
  • Whop — payment processing for purchase transactions. We do not store credit card information. See Whop’s Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics (GA4) — website traffic analytics. Sets cookies and processes IP/device data; we do not sell it or use it for advertising (see Google’s Privacy Policy).
  • Microsoft Clarity — anonymized session replay and heatmap analytics to understand how the site is used. Form inputs are masked by default; we do not sell it or use it for advertising (see Microsoft Privacy Statement).

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have the right to:

  • Opt out of anonymized product-improvement & research data collection (§2d) — email us
  • Request deletion of any data associated with your anonymous identifier
  • Request a copy of any data associated with you
  • Opt out of communications

7. Age Restriction

Meridian is intended only for adults age 18 or older. It is not directed at minors, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post significant changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date; where we have your email (e.g. from support), we may also notify you directly. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
